On September 17, 2019, in accordance with the group standard revision management procedure of the China Electronics Industry Standardization Technology Association, Shenzhen Junhuiteng Technology Co., Ltd. and the China Electronics Standardization Research Institute jointly organized a review and approval meeting for the group standard "Determination of Four Phthalates in Electronic and Electrical Products - High Performance Liquid Chromatography Method" with project number CESA-2019-1-032 in Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province. The conference invited 7 expert representatives from seven units, including China Academy of Inspection and Quarantine Sciences, Analytical Instruments Branch of China Instrument and Meter Society, China Institute of Metrology, Pingxiang University, China Inspection Group Southern Testing Co., Ltd., BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd., and Beike Electronic Technology Services (Shenzhen)。

This standard specifies the qualitative and quantitative methods for determining four types of phthalates in electronic and electrical products using high-performance liquid chromatography. It also standardizes the performance indicators of high-performance liquid chromatography applied to the determination of four types of phthalates in electronic and electrical products, filling the gap in the domestic RoHS testing method standards for phthalates using liquid chromatography. It provides more choices and inexpensive enterprise level solutions for China's electronic manufacturing industry to respond to the EU RoHS 2.0 directive. At the same time, it also promotes the application of domestic liquid chromatographs in the field of RoHS testing。

At the meeting, the reviewing experts carefully listened to the report of the standard drafting group on the standard preparation instructions, standard content, and related materials. They rigorously reviewed the technical content and text format of the group standard (draft for review) submitted for approval, and formed approval opinions. Finally, it was unanimously agreed to approve the standard and submit a complete set of approval materials to the China Electronics Industry Standardization Technology Association after modification based on the opinions of this meeting, in order to approve its release and implementation as soon as possible。
